Ambassador Barbier celebrates the French International Internship programme in Johannesburg
In South Africa 45 French firms host over 50 interns from France, exposing them to globalised business and training the next generation of French business leaders. The programme of international internships is a successful and compelling way for graduates to develop the skills and experience necessary for their careers whilst also engaging with people from a new culture and forging life-long bonds with foreign countries.
On Thursday 23 May 2013 Ubifrance (the French trade promotion agency) hosted a reception to celebrate the programme and its impact in South Africa. Ambassador Barbier was in attendance and delivered the keynote address. Thereafter three of the interns received awards and will go through to the final awards ceremony in Paris later this year.
First prize went to Matthieu BOURDREL, Julien BARBEY took second place and Romain KHERRAT was third.
