Ambassador Barbier hosts women’s dinner
On August 6 2015, Ambassador of France to South Africa HE Elisabeth Barbier, hosted a number of influential women for an informal dinner in celebration of Women’s Day.
The dinner took place in Johannesburg after the launch of the international photo exhibition by French photographer Pierre-Yves Ginet, entitled Women in Resistance, at the Alliance Française in Johannesburg.
The women who took part were independent journalist Liesl Louw-Vaudran, filmmaker and actress Mmabatho Montsho, managing director of Valued Citizens Carole Podetti Ngono, division head of conflict prevention and risk analysis at the Institute for Security Studies, Stephanie Wolters, French lecturer at the University of the Witwatersrand, Dr Polo Moji and Nomvula Mafuna of the French Development Agency (AFD).
Deputy head of mission, Charlotte Montel, cooperation and development attaché, Lucie Broechler, and press attaché, Lali van Zuydam, joined in the dinner with Ambassador Barbier.
