Ambassador Farnaud gives DELF certificates to South African military officers
On November 13 2017, Ambassador of France to South Africa, H.E. Mr. Christophe Farnaud, presented DELF (French language diploma) certificates to 11 soldiers of the South African Defence Force (SANDF) learning French at the Alliance Française in Pretoria.
The aim of the programme is to be able to interact with the local forces and communities in their francophone areas deployment but also to follow professional courses in France or in French-speaking countries.
The learning of French aims at reinforcing the communication between the French forces and the South Africans. Currently, 22 south African military officers are following French classes in South Africa, which illustrates the rising interest for the process.
