Annual Francophonie lunch at the French Residence

On Friday 15 March 2019, the Ambassador of France in South Africa H.E. Christophe Farnaud held at the French Residence the annual Francophonie lunch in South Africa.

The South African Minister of Arts and Culture, Nathi Methethwa, took part in the lunch. His wife, Philisiwe Mthethwa, CEO of the National Empowerment Fund, was the honour guest this year. She studied economy at the Université Paris 2 Sorbonne.

During his visit in Ouagadougou in 2017, President Emmanuel Macron wished that French was a plural language. The future of this language is especially in the African youth.
