Annual French Ambassadors’ Conference (Paris, 25-27 August 2010)


During the 18th ambassador’s conference in Paris, which gathered nearly 180 heads of mission, French President Nicholas Sarkozy indicated that the UN Climate Change Summit to be held in South Africa in November 2011 would probably be decisive in sealing an agreement on climate change. As the G20 summit will be held in France just before, he expressed his eagerness to discuss the sequence with President Jacob Zuma in order to reach decisive progress. The President also laid down an ambitious agenda for the G20 French presidency which is to start on November 2010 for one year.
