Business France and CCEF: Developing young graduates
Members of the media are invited to a round table discussion about the development of young graduates in South Africa – hosted by Business France South Africa and French Foreign Trade Advisors (Conseillers du Commerce extérieur de la France - CCEF).
Date: October 6 2015
Time: 10.00 - 13.30
Venue: Fairway Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort, Randburg
The purpose of the discussion is to demonstrate how France is investing in the youth of South Africa through the provision of bursaries, scholarships etc. Once qualified, these graduates have skills that create opportunities for them and that could impact the South African economy in a positive way.
The event will also inform South African government entities and French companies about the different training programmes that French companies have in place for young South African graduates/employees. This is advantageous in a time when employment is scarce – even for the educated.
The discussion will also serve to inform the South African government about the French International Internship Programme (Volontariat International en Entreprises - VIE) and to show them how this programme contributes to the fulfillment of the French government’s objectives – to equip its young graduates with skills. The VIE programme will also be promoted to French subsidiaries in South Africa during the discussion to inform them of the benefits of recruiting a VIE. The event includes testimonies by VIEs and their hosting companies.
Ambassador of France to South Africa, HE Elisabeth Barbier, will open the discussion.
