No menus, no waiters, no fancy décor, just three meal choices. Sound horrific ? Depends on how much you like good food and dislike the fuss that normally surrounds it.
Here, the chefs serve you lunch or dinner, Monday to Friday and literally, they do serve them. They bring you your food, doing away with the need for waiters. You’ll have checked the changing daily meal choices online before arriving, so you simply tell them what you want when you walk in and the chefs get cooking immediately. Your meal – a main and sides – is plated and curated in the kitchen and brought to you on the signature Chefs’ tray.

Meet Chef Jenny Ward and her team of five chefs at Chefs Cape Town.
Jenny graduated cum laude from the Institute of Culinary Arts in Stellenbosch and then worked as the sous chef at Cape Town’s Bizerca Bistro. She was introduced to wood-fired cooking in Australia but honed these skills while working in Kwa-Zulu Natal. Her love of simple and traditional cooking is her signature style. Some of her favourite dishes are braised or marinated lamb stew and beef tartar as well as her preserves.
