France stands with South Africa in the fight against Covid-19
The Embassy of France in South Africa confirms that Air France-KLM repatriation flights for 250 French tourists are scheduled for next week.
These flights are being organised in partnership with the South African authorities and the Dutch government.
At the same time, the French community in South Africa, 10 000+ residents strong, is staying in the country and stands in solidarity with the South African people.
French citizens are respecting the lockdown orders from the South African government and actively supporting the fight against the virus by all means possible.
Our 400 French companies remain in the country, committed to supporting the workforce and the economy.
France understands the massive challenge facing countries across the globe.
French President Emmanuel Macron is leading the global effort, along with President Cyril Ramaphosa and other African leaders, to effectively respond to the effects of Covid-19 in Africa.
