International photo competition: “Et en plus je parle français” [fr]
From 1 March to 30 April 2017, candidates from all over the world, speaking or learning French, took part in the photo competition « Et en plus je parle français » organized by the French Institute of Paris in partnership with Paris Airport.
This competition involved the candidates publishing an original photo of themselves with a poster saying: "Et en plus je parle français" (“And I also speak French”). To register, candidates had to accompany their photograph with a sentence explaining why they learn French.
The most successful photos are now the new faces of the “Et en plus je parle français” campaign, released this summer at Paris airports.
The jury, made up of French-speaking public figures, selected Antonio Hernandez Bautista, a chef in Buenos Aires, as the winner of the international competition.
In South Africa, the winner of the competition is Jasmin Pillai (24), currently in her third year studying French and Environmental Sciences at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
Jasmin has won a two-week linguistic and cultural stay in France.
Her picture will soon be exhibited in schools and Alliance Française network in South Africa.
Well done to all the participants for their creative submissions!
