Laurence anyways by Xavier Dolan (2012, 2h48)

In the 1990s, Laurence announces to his girlfriend Fred that he wants to become a woman. Together they must face the prejudice of the people around them, resist pressure from their families and brave the phobias of a society troubled by their decision. For 10 years, they will try to survive this transition and embark on an epic adventure, the price of which seems to be their ruin.
