Le Movie Club presents Aya from Yopougon

Late 1970’s in Yopougon - a popular neigbhbourhood in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. It is here that 19-year old Aya lives. She’s a serious girl who prefers to stay at home and study instead of going out with friends. Aya’s days are devoted entirely to school, family and her two best friends Adja and Bintou, who, for their part, think only of drinking on the sly in the bars at night...

The film will be screened at The Bioscope Independent Cinema in Johannesburg on Thursday 27 October 2016, 7:30pm for 8pm.
