President Jacob Zuma welcomes Ambassador Barbier [fr]
On Tuesday, 15 September 2015, Ambassador of France to South Africa HE Elisabeth Barbier was welcomed with other heads of mission by South African President Jacob Zuma.
In view of the opening of the United Nations General Assembly in a few days, President Zuma explained the main priorities of South Africa’s foreign policy. In particular, the President showed his strong support for COP21 and insisted on the leading role played by South Africa as the chair of G77+China.
The Ambassador then had a brief talk with President Zuma, and thanked him for South Africa’s support in preparation for the Paris Conference on Climate. They also discussed the next bilateral meetings and the priorities of France-South Africa cooperation.
