Prize ceremony for students learning French at NMMU [fr]

On 7 october 2014, to promote multilingualism at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU), the French language unit organised a prize-giving ceremony for the Language and Litterature department.


The unit’s 3 top-achieving students were awarded; Cayla-Paige Nortjé (1st year), Tiffany de Vos (2nd year), Candice Lewis (3rd year).

Charlotte Jarnet, the new director of Alliance Française of Port Elizabeth, handed over the prizes represented the Embassy of France.

The evening was followed by cultural performances. French students presented a multilingual sketch and a song translated into French.
