The SA Culinary restaurant will participate in Good France by serving dinners, lunches but also organizing cooking classes during the whole month of March.
3RD MARCH : DINNER & CLASS ON CLASSICAL FRENCH CUISINE
Guests are invited to an interactive cooking class for a 3 course menu designed by chef Wandile Mabaso who is classically trained in French cuisine.The guests will get to prepare their own meal in pairs with the guidance of the chef and thereafter will dine and enjoy their meal whichwill be served with French wine.The experience will focus on classical french cooking techniques,regional flavors and celebrate the era of Cesar Ritz and haute cuisine.
10TH MARCH : MODERN FRENCH TAPAS,CHEESE & FRENCH WINE TASTING
Over the past 10 years French cuisine has invented a vast variety of techniques and
flavors.Guests are invited to a French tapas and wine tasting,in a casual setting and open kitchen style. Chef Wandile Mabaso will express modern flavors of the last 10 years into a 6 course of small plates with each course paired with a modern French wine.The chef’s menu will produce a unique all rounded sensory experience which is designed to intrigue each palate by exploring and pairing every flavor profile.

The “GOOD FRANCE“ week takes place annually where chefs from 150 countries world wide prepare elegant meals in celebration of the vitality of French cuisine.Chef Wandile Mabaso invites you to join him when he executes a gastronomic 4 course menu inspired by French contemporary cuisine paired with wines from the Provence,Bordeaux,and Burgundy regions.
Freshness and quality ingredients are key.The chef promises a mind blowing experience in an open kitchen setting where his unique approach to cooking and artistic flair will be experienced live.
1ST APRIL : CHAMPAGNE BRUNCH
What would French gastronomy be without the almighty Champagne ? In celebration of the luxurious and rich gastronomic culture of France, the chef invites you to a “first of its kind” 4 course Champagne brunch.The guests can expect to indulge in the finest
champagne,Normandy cheeses,Freshly baked French pastries,”fish & eggs” and the chefs unique mind blowing croissant French toast.
What is your link with French cuisine ?
I have trained in classical French cuisine in New York and specialises in contemporary French haute cuisine. I worked in France and I am now the Ambassador of French cuisine in South Africa.
Why did you choose to participate in Good France ?
Because I represent French cuisine.
