Strategic and Defense Cooperation Dialogue between France and South Africa [fr]
On November 23-24 2016, a Strategic and Defense Cooperation Dialogue between France and South Africa, allowing French and South African ministries of Defence to exchange about strategic issues of common interest was organised in Pretoria.
They also discussed and signed projects of cooperation for the next two years.
The French delegation was led by General Clament, from the General Directorate for International Relations and Strategy (DGRIS) of the Ministry of Defense, as well as other members of the DGRIS; of the Joint Staff and of the French Armed Forces in the Southern Indian Ocean. Members of the French Defense Mission of the French Embassy in South Africa also participated in the dialogue.
The South African delegation was led by Ambassador Sifingo, heading the International Affairs of the Department of Defence, and counted representatives of the different services of the South African National Defence Force, as well as the South-African Defence Attaché in Paris.
