My name is Masilo Mafube, 32 years old from Lesotho.
I graduated with an International Master in Management from Audencia Business School on the 28th November 2015. My thesis was on ‘Key Success Factors in Business Incubation’.
As part of my studies I also attended a short module in Barcelona, Spain. The Embassy of France in South Africa and Lesotho supported me in all these endeavours and I am very thankful.
I love the French culture and their cuisine. The food is outstanding and the language is tricky at first, just like the people, but once you immerse yourself into everything, then you become French too.
France is a wonderful country rich in history and culture, its economy is also one of the best in the world. Nantes is the 6th largest city in France but I believe it is number 1 when it comes to quality of life. It is a peaceful city located on the famous Loire River and what I loved most about Nantes is the people and the infrastructure.
I was a fulltime member of the Nantes city’s chess club and even today I am still part of the club, and will remain for a lifetime since I managed to win first place their annual Trophée Jean BIOU which now has my name engraved for life alongside all the generations that won it before me since the early 1950s.
My most notable and memorable event is the graduation day. Graduation day to me embodied all the experiences, challenges, efforts and successes of my time in France. It is a milestone that marked my progress and a time for me to plan for my next adventure.
