The Alliance Française of Pietermaritzburg visits Sobantu High School

On 2 August 2017, the Alliance Française of Pietermaritzburg visited Sobantu High School to reinforce the partnership between the two institutions.

This visit was the opportunity for the Alliance Française to introduce Louis Catusse, an exchange student from Béziers, France, to Sobantu High School.
Louis Catusse is currently doing a four-month exchange at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. He will also address learners from this school in French during his stay in South Africa.

The Alliance Française team also visited the community vegetable garden which was set up last year during a week-long workshop in partnership with the agricultural high schools of Saint Paul and Saint Joseph de La Réunion (France). This year, the two schools from Reunion Island will come back and set up a community garden at Russel Lower Primary School.

The Alliance Française also presented a map of Africa showing the Francophone countries to the school.
