The Ambassador of France hosts a concert of Ouistreham and University of Pretoria Choirs
On 31 October 208, the Ambassador of France to South Africa, H.E. Christophe Farnaud, hosted a concert at the French Residence to celebrate the partnership between the Ouistreham Choir and the University of Pretoria.
The choir was composed by 40 South-African singers, from the University of Pretoria, and 30 French singers, from the Ouistreham and Dijon Choirs. The Ouistreham Choir was created by Robert Moscato in 1981. The University of Pretoria Youth Choir was created in 2001 in order to give young talents the opportunity to sing in a high level, locally and abroad.
The two choirmasters, Agnes Polet and Lenthe-Mari Pitout, met in 2016 and decided to cooperate as part of the celebration of the centenary of Nelson Mandela.
