The French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry [fr]

Created in 1979, the French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FSACCI), a private non-profit organisation, creates links between the French and South African business communities. It constitutes, through its panel of services and its network of members, an efficient business support mechanism.

Primarily, FSACCI is an information and networking tool.

- Its different committees (HR, Digital & communication, Building, Legal, Food and Beverage, Women in Business, etc.) are networking places and are also an opportunity to share ideas and information.
- Its monthly rendez-vous ‘The Networking Brief’, in partnership with the French Embassy’s department for economic affairs for Southern Africa, combines business information and networking.
- FSACCI also organises various workshops, proposed by its members, on topics such as labour legislation, immigration, taxation, BBBEE, South-African business culture, etc.

In addition, FSACCI offers different business services to its members: access to its business directory, sharing of special rates, online job offers, visibility (through its monthly newsletter and via social media), and legal address and/or renting of offices in the heart of Sandton.

One of FSACCI’s departments is dedicated to support French companies during their implementation phase in South Africa and to assist South African companies wishing to export in France. This service is complementary to the activities of Business France in Johannesburg: FSACCI and the Business France office in Johannesburg signed an agreement to this end.

Finally, the big annual events such as Meet&Greet, Gala and Beaujolais Nouveau organised by FSACCI are highlights of the French business community and its South African partners.
