Visas: opening of new Capago centres in Durban and Cape Town [fr]
From 15 January 2014, 3 CAPAGO offices for French visa applications are operational in South Africa:
in Cape Town for applicants living in the Provinces of Western Cap, Eastern Cape and Northern Cape,
in Durban for applicants living in the Province of KwaZulu-Natal,
in Johannesburg for applicants living inother South African Provinces.
CAPAGO is responsible for the collection of visas applications and biometric data (photography of the face and fingerprinting), the dispatching of visas applications to the Consulate in Johannesburg and handing over the passports to the applicants. The decision to grant or refuse a visa will remain the prerogative of the Consulate only.
Having the processing of visa applications carried out by an external service provider will have numerous benefits:
- Customer personalized service,
- Shorter appointments and visa processing delays,
- Real-time information: CAPAGO will inform applicants by email or text message as soon as the passport is ready for collection.
