Visit by senators of France-South Africa Friendship group

Messrs André Ferrand, Charles Revet and Jean-Claude Peyronnet, senators and members of the France-South Africa Friendship group, were in South Africa from 19 to 23 March 2007.

They met the Deputy Chairperson of the National Council of Provinces at the South African Parliament and was taken on a private viewing of the eighteenth century watercolours by the French explorer François le Vaillant, which form part of parliament’s art collection.

After discussions with French and South African business groups on the Gautrain project and professional training, the senators attended the opening ceremony for International Francophonie Day at the Jo’burg Alliance Française.
